Takaab SAR V2 - Gate Controlled Slew Limiter / Slide-Portamento / AR Envelope

The Takaab S.A.R (Slide, Attack, Release) is an exponential voltage lag generator designed primarily to function as either a portamento/slide circuit or an AR envelope generator.

With both the push switches out (ON) a voltage applied to the main input will be outputted with any rises or falls in voltage being slowed down dependant on where the A (attack/rise) and R (release/fall) knobs are set to. Therefore, inputting a 1v/oct control voltage will result in a portamento effect, whilst a smooth rising and falling envelope can be generated by inputting a gate.

When a jack is inserted into A.GATE or R.GATE the portomento effect stop, but will turn back on only when as there is a gate/high signal on the jack and only for either the A slope or R slope, depending on which socket is used. Pushing LINK button means a jack inserted into either A.GATE or R.GATE will affect A and R slopes

The range switch changes the range of the lag time: The centre position being the shortest and is most useful for slides or portamentos. The top position is the middle setting while the lower position is the longest range – most useful for envelopes. At this range you may hear some lag even with A and R at their lowest settings if using the unit as a portamento.
